Ashley Cameron

Ashley Cameron is a Project Archaeologist who can hold permits in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Ashley is currently a PhD candidate in archaeology at Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN), where she also completed her MA entitled “Archaeological Material Analysis of FjCa-51, Area 11, Sheshatshiu, Labrador”. Her research interests include lithic analysis, residue analysis, precontact archaeology, and community archaeology. She has participated in research excavations in Alberta at the Cluny Fortified Village Site, in Labrador in Sheshatshiu, and along the coast at the Double Mer site. Since starting her CRM career in 2023, she has worked all over Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta. She loves to spend time with a good book, a cup of tea, and her cats curled up next to her, belting out songs (offkey) while out for a drive, or out exploring new areas with others! A fun fact is that she once had a summer student job as a haul truck driver back home in Labrador West – how cool!
