Get to know Rachel, our Executive and Resource Coordinator!

We sat down with Rachel Millard, our Executive and Resource Coordinator and one the newest members of our team, to learn more about her and what excites her about joining Circle. Here’s what she had to say:

What’s one fun fact about you that might surprise people?
I LOVE musical theatre! In fact, I’ve been in a few community theatre productions here in Calgary. It’s something that really lets me tap into my creative side and have a lot of fun!

What excites you most about joining our team?
I’m really excited about learning a whole new industry! In my role, I help Circle’s leaders manage their schedules, organize resources, and keep everything running smoothly within the team. I’ve always been passionate about creative work, so I’m excited to bring that energy into handling administrative tasks, coordinating projects, and streamlining workflows to support everyone. And I’m thrilled to support the dynamic and talented team at Circle. They bring so much energy to the office; I often hear laughter and interesting conversations from my desk.

It also feels really cool to be a part of something that helps shape our understanding of human history.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Definitely teleportation. I could just pop myself right into a Broadway show in New York without any of the hassles of travel. It would be the ultimate way to enjoy my favourite musicals without the long flight!

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
I love to curl up in “soft pants” and work on my favourite knitting or DIY projects. It’s a great way to relax while also being creative. Of course, I also catch up on my favourite TV shows while I’m at it.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’ve always wanted to visit Bora Bora and stay in one of those iconic over-water bungalows. I really want to experience “Tahiti TV”—the glass floors that let you watch the ocean below as you relax in your bungalow. It just seems like the ultimate tropical getaway!

What’s a skill or strength you’re most proud of in your work?
I’m most proud of my ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment. I thrive on variety and hate repetition, so constant change is definitely my jam! Being able to turn on a dime and handle new challenges is something I really enjoy.

Rachel’s passion, creativity, and adaptability make her an exciting addition to Team Circle. We’re looking forward to all the amazing things she’ll contribute as she grows with us.
